The most talked about name in the NBA in recent days is none other than Ja Morant, the 23-year-old star of the Memphis Grizzlies.

According to the allegations, Morant, who allegedly directed a gun laser at the Indiana Pacers, beat up a 17-year-old boy and then pulled a gun, threatened a store employee in Memphis, and finally appeared on Instagram live stream with a gun.

Morant's latest incident has prompted NBA and Grizzlies officials to take action. Morant, who was suspended for at least two games by the Grizzlies, was also investigated by the police.

Speaking on TNT, commentator and former NBA player Shaquille O'Neal called out Ja Morant after the events:

"A bad choice, a stupid decision... It's not a mistake, it's a stupid decision. There is no excuse for what you did. When you do that, you have to have enough reason and logic to know that things are not going to go the way you want. You're in a strip club, you're wearing nothing, you've got a gun and you go and broadcast. You have to stop putting yourself in a difficult situation after working hard and getting to a high point. If he didn't do something like that, nobody would care. You're not a rapper, you're an NBA player."

The 23-year-old guard did not play in the Grizzlies' games against the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers. It is not yet clear whether Morant's suspension will be extended.

Coach Taylor Jenkins said that this process could take longer.

After starting the NBA season with 31 wins and 13 losses, the Grizzlies have been up and down since mid-January. The Grizzlies are third in the West and have 13 losses in their last 20 games.
