Victor Wembanyama, who is almost certain to be selected by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft, is a name we have known for a few years due to his absurd height. In addition to his striking body measurements, Victor Wembanyama stands out with his ability to play with the ball, his defensive versatility and his scoring potential. That's why the potential we are facing is anything but normal.

But in recent history we have seen such potential once again. Selected in the first round of the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the young LeBron James had a lot of expectations since he was 15 years old. He was a "Hall of Fame" star even before he entered the league. As a result, LeBron James did not disappoint all the people's expectations and finally became the leading scorer in NBA history.

This has given rise to a new debate today: "Is LeBron James or Victor Wembanyama the best and most exciting rookie prospect of all time?

The comparison, which is happening in many sports branches today, happened this time in Basketball. There are many opinions on this subject. The latest statement came from Draymond Green.

Speaking on his own podcast, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green joined the debate. He claimed that young LeBron excites him more than Wembanyama:

"There was a lot of talk about whether Wembanyama is the best rookie prospect after LeBron. I've seen some people say that Wembanyama is the best rookie prospect of all time. Of course now everybody will say that, but let's not forget how great a rookie prospect young LeBron James is."

LeBron James was a phenomenon from the age of 15. LeBron James was the number one pick in the draft when he was only 15 years old. I'm not saying he's a better prospect than LeBron, as much as we like to move quickly to the next step, but he's probably the best after LeBron and probably the second best rookie prospect ever, Victor Wembanyama"

Earlier, another comment came from former NBA player Rex Chapman.

Chapman quoted Danny Ainge as saying about a young LeBron James in 2000:

"I quit basketball in 2000. At that time Danny Ainge was doing a program on TV, but he was still watching young players. One day I asked him, "Is there anyone coming to the league in the near future?" And he said to me: "There's a 15-year-old kid in Ohio named LeBron James. I would trade everybody in the league for him except Kobe Bryant."

Everyone is looking forward to Victor Wembanyama's first season in the NBA. Because here we have an alien with an incredible physique.

There are different answers to the question of who is the best for everyone. But one thing is for sure, Victor Wembanyama is one of the rookies with the highest potential. Some say he's the best. Some say he's not the best. Some say he's one of the best.
